In the

As we go about our business at a global level, SKOPE remains committed to supporting its local community in the Canterbury region.

We sponsor many of our own staff sports teams, including indoor cricket, touch rugby and mountain biking. Many of our staff look forward to the annual Christchurch Star’s City to Surf run, and we pay for their entry to this.

SKOPE are big supporters of the Christchurch City Mission and each year at Christmas our staff fundraise for this cause, with some also donating their Christmas hams to the Mission.

The SKOPE Classic, an annual classic car event held in Christchurch, and our support of the Canterbury Tactix Netball team, are our largest sponsorship programmes.

At Willowbank Wildlife Reserve and Orana Park, we have donated heaters to the primate enclosures, ensuring our furry friends are kept warm over the colder months in Christchurch.

At times, our commitment to the community reaches far beyond our own backyard. When the tsunami hit Samoa in September 2009, our staff raised money to assist with the relief effort. SKOPE also supported Samoan members of our staff, so they could return to Samoa to assist their families and help with the cleanup.
