Giving staff the chance to come up with ideas of their own has paid off for Skope Industries, which has hooked at least one client company with a grassroots innovation that could be quite lucrative for the Christchurch manufacturer.The commercial refrigeration producer lives and dies by constant innovation, managing director Guy Stewart said."If you don't innovate in this corner of the world, you're dead."

Le Cordon Bleu chooses SKOPE Refrigeration
[January 13] Le Cordon Bleu, one of the world’s most prestigious cooking schools, has opened its brand new campus in Wellington. Le Cordon Bleu placed an imperative on sourcing and researching products that were preferred in the industry. SKOPE was chosen to supply products including a black three-door back bar in the restaurant training bar, three two-door Centaur under counters in the production kitchen & 11 Pegasus under counters in the Cordon Bleu patisserie kitchen, cuisine kitchen and demonstration theatre.

Coloured Refrigeration at Energex

[December 12], SKOPE worked with BVN Architecture and provided Energex with single- and double-door, top-mounted premium energy-efficient SK chillers and freezers. Custom split-door freezers, and solid doors laminated and coloured, were used throughout the site.

[November 12], the Minister of Science and Innovation, Hon. Steven Joyce officially opened SKOPE’s new environmental test chamber. SKOPE’s new environmental test chamber, which is built from MISA cool room panels, will enable increased testing capacity, ensure faster project turnaround times and improve testing accuracy.
