Fine Foods Sydney
5 - 8 September 2011
The SKOPE stand was a hive of activity this year with representatives from IRINOX, MISA and HAIER all joining the SKOPE team.
The main feature of the stand was a 2.4m MISA cool and freezer room system. SKOPE’s Richard Bennett and MISA’s Claudio Fabiani were kept busy demonstrating the modular systems many features and options to both dealers and end users.
Live Blast Chiller demonstrations by Robert Erskine and the Italian Irinox team proved extremely popular, and the new low temperature cooking function was a hit. Other products released at the show included the Centaur 3 door pizza chiller, Centaur glass door under counters and the B1200 bottom mount chiller.
A few SKOPE customers thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing lunch and conversation while enjoying the sites of the Sydney harbour aboard the SKOPE boat.

SKOPE Managing Director Guy Stewart says it is an honour and a privilege for the company to be recognised by such a key customer in this way and particularly pleasing his father (and company founder), Robert Stewart was present at the occasion.
“The public recognition by CCA through these awards is extremely significant for SKOPE. CCA’s leadership during our long-standing relationship - almost 40 years - has supported our innovation with refrigeration design and energy reduction,” he says.
“Historically SKOPE has been an early adopter of technology and responsive to our customers demand for innovation - not only in the corporate beverage market, but also in food service refrigeration and heating markets. After recent work by the SKOPE design team, we now have the lowest energy glass two-door merchandiser in the Coca-Cola system, globally.”
SKOPE is CCA’s largest supplier of commercial refrigeration products in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
SKOPE has previously been recognised by CCA, being runner up for innovation in the inaugural Coca-Cola Amatil Australia Supplier of the Year Awards, in recognition for the work undertaken for Coca-Cola’s merchandising fleet. This year we also won the Coca-Cola New Zealand Supplier of the Year Award.

Update: Message to customers
12pm Tuesday 8 March 2011
Thank you all for your support and thoughts. The past two weeks has been a major challenge for our city, our community and our company, and has been a time where the human spirit shows what it is capable of in the best sense.
While our city has been under siege with rescue workers and support from all over the world achieving extraordinary feats within the city, SKOPE has been focused on getting itself operational as quickly as possible. My excellent team achieved this within a week and we are now fully operational with orders being shipped without hitch at all times. They have done an excellent job, and one that I am proud of.
I have been asked by many customers what they can do to help us during this time of crisis, and my response has been two-fold:
- Understand that we are very much in business and operating normally.
- Give us orders to keep our morale up and keep us busy.
Watching the television it is easy to wonder how Christchurch can ever recover from the devastation that has hit it, but it will of course, just as many other previously earthquake damaged cities have. My job is to ensure that the 350 plus people we have working for us in Christchurch, and the multiple suppliers we have based here too, are able to return to as normal a life as possible to give them a place of stability in their lives where they may have lost loved ones, or their homes may be badly damaged or destroyed. Morale and daily focus are critical at times like this.
There is the ancient Chinese curse "may you live in interesting times" and as Christchurch will tell you, as well as flood affected Australia, "stability and normality" are much better prospects than "interesting" and we would greatly appreciate your support in regaining a complete "business as normal" position as quickly as possible.
Thank you.
Kindest regards,
R. Guy Stewart
Managing Director
