Overview
SKOPE has produced two fan motor noise reduction kits which can be retrofitted into B600-2 and B600G-2
refrigeration cassettes (cassette part number UH0SSCE), making them suitable for use in noise sensitive
environments.
The retrofit involves replacing the condenser fan motor and/or the evaporator fan motor with quieter, noise
reduction fan motors that run at reduced speeds.
The noise reduction fan motors do not affect chiller operation, performance or efficiency, and the chiller will
continue to run as normal.
Retrofit Kits
Two retrofit kits are available. One for the condenser fan motor, and the other for the evaporator fan motor.
Depending on noise reduction requirements, one or both of the noise reduction fan motors can be retrofitted.
Order the kit/s using the kit part number below. The fan motors are labelled to identify different fan speeds,
and also have different coloured plugs. Parts required to complete each retrofit are included in each kit.
Retrofit Procedure
The retrofit involves removing the existing fan motors and fitting the noise reduction motors, while retaining the existing fan blades. Refer to the instruction sheet (PRN11095) included with the noise reduction kit for full retrofit
instructions.
Ensure all work is completed by an authorised service agent and that all applicable electrical safety tests are done once the work is completed.
